Alo, I have some things to show you...
T-shirt to halter
It used to be a huge yellow T-shirt with this print on the front and sponsors' names all over the back. I cut up the front and back and sleeves, cut off the part of the back with text, and flipped over the bottom half (with the hem) to make the halter back. Then I used parts of the sleeves to make pockets (again using the hem), left the edges unfinished, sewed up the sides, and cut a halter top shape out of the neckline. I braided strips of calico and sewed it to the neckline for the halter. I don't really like that part/I'd redo it if I could, but it is not bad.

The back. Excuse straps, and appreciate pirate boxers plz. ^^
Sorry, I never took before-pictures of the shirt, because I had already cut it up. But it looks like your typical long-sleeved men's shirt, and you can see the pattern...

Kinda free-handed it. I have no kid, nor do I have measurements to go by.

The sides of the dress are gathered for diaper room.

The sleeves are gathered with elastic in the casing. :) The neckline is finished with rose pink satin edging, the waistline is gathered and the back dress top hems are finished with sage green sheer ribbon.

Tiny pocket, made from part of the bodice. :)
Here are pics of what I've been doing the last 24 hours (besides studying). Click pictures for descriptive sentences of excitement.
My yarrrrrn ballllllll:
My refashioned, too-big eBay find for Lara's wedding started out like this and ended up thus:
Chopped down the middle, edged with ribbon to reinforce grommets/lace-up detail. Also 'cuz I'm too lazy to sew the edges in.
Punching grommets was one of the most fun things I've ever done with sewing.
I can't take pictures of my own hand too well, but here you have it.
End
result, but still a bit wonky 'cuz it's still too big for me. We don't
want dresses falling in the ceremony... I guess my quick and dirty
refashion at this point would just be to slap straps somewhere along
the neckline. But ugh, refashioned strapless dresses. It looks cute,
though. Not bad for two hours' work and some brain juice from a bad
seamstress?
I'm wearing it with these. Hey! I have a right to be matchy-matchy.

I hate the bow. :(
Gratuitous lover shot:
